Homework Information

 

Homework-

A homework package will be sent home each Monday along with the newsletter.  All homework will be due on Friday morning.  If your child wishes to turn in homework throughout the week, it is fine.  The kids can return their homework to the red “homework basket” in our classroom.  Hopefully you and your child will set aside some time each night to complete homework and share.  Remember that time spent reading with your child is the most valuable gift you can give your child at this point in his/her development.

 

 

Daily Folder-

This is a folder that your child should bring to school every day.  It will contain completed papers, homework, parent bulletins, and important notes.  This folder will also contain a monthly conduct calendar to help keep you informed of your child’s behavior.  Please initial the calendar each night. 

 

 

Reading Log-

As you know, reading nightly is the most beneficial way to help your child’s reading skills develop.  Good news!!  Your child will start checking out “just right” books nightly to bring home.  The books will come home inside of a Reading Log folder.  Please listen to your child read each night and initial their Reading Log.  Happy Reading!
